FOM Vellies Standaard Steen

I absolutely love these vellies, a clear 5/5 for the product itself! I originally bought a pair while in Namibia, and after wearing them regularly for over three years, I finally needed a replacement. That’s a testament to their quality and durability.

So why the 4-star rating?

Since I live in Switzerland and importing from the UK involves customs and import tax, I decided to order two pairs at once (as the processing fee is only charged once per shipment). Unfortunately, one pair arrived in the wrong size. The good news: customer support was excellent and immediately sent a replacement, no hassle there.

However, this led to me having one pair in the wrong size sitting in my closet, me paying import duties twice, once for each shipment (still waiting for the second import tax bill at the moment). This made the overall purchase more expensive than expected.

A return-and-replace process might have been more cost-effective from a customer perspective, but I completely understand the complexities of cross-border logistics and appreciate that FOM even offers shipping to Switzerland. So it's just one star off for the logistical hiccup, not the product or service quality.

Still highly recommend these shoes! They’re fantastic!
